Change Requests

EPMware adds visual capabilities to your change request processes, so you can see the complete impact of a change across applications before it is consumed by subscribing applications.

Metadata requests appear in a graphical hierarchy (or flat) view across all enterprise applications. These hierarchies mirror the hierarchies in your reporting structure, which makes it easier to model changes for reporting and analytics.

The interface includes a view history field that displays member activity so you can pinpoint which request is holding a change and its status as well as who is making what changes.

EPMware’s real-time validation triggers visual prompts that prevent users from duplicating members or skipping approvals and improve metadata quality by enforcing enterprise governance standards.

Approve (or Reject) in Workflows

EPMware simplifies workflows with the ability to layer in review and approval stages as needed, instead of applying a one-size-fits-all approach that probably doesn’t.

Reviewers automatically receive a notification when it's their turn to add to or approve a change request. However, administrators can also opt for a Priority workflow with far fewer approval stages to speed up the time to deployment.

View Dashboards

EPMware’s Dashboard view allows you to drill down into any workflow stage and track a request’s approval progress, even if it is required to pass through Development, UAT, and PROD environments.

Deploy and Track Metadata Requests

EPMware offers flexible deployment options that are customizable to your systems and applications. Depending on specific enterprise application requirements, changes can be deployed in a variety of ways, including:

• Directly to the target application via EPMware adapter

• To an interface table

• To a flat file with a custom format

• On demand via REST API call

Browse Metadata

EPMware’s Explorer feature provides a read-only view of your metadata that gives authorized users access to metadata and hierarchies without giving them the ability to make changes.

In this view, you can see what changes are in-flight and export metadata to Excel for reporting and analytics.

Audit and Reporting

When a change is deployed, Audit Logs provide a comprehensive data trail that tracks:

• When the change was deployed

• Whether the deploy failed and why, including system communication logs

• What was changed and the prior values

• Who approved or enriched the change
